Refund And Return Policy

At Calcutta International, your satisfaction is our priority. If you are not completely happy with your purchase from calcuttashop.com, please read our policy below so we can make things right.

1. How to Start a Return

Return requests must be made within 14 days of receiving your order. To initiate a return, please contact us by email at support@calcuttashop.com or via our Contact Us form with the following information:

  • Your order number
  • Reason for return
  • For damaged or defective items: clear photographs and an unboxing video showing the condition of the item as received

We will respond to your request within 3 business days.

2. Return Eligibility

We accept returns within 14 days of receiving your order for any of the following reasons:

  • Item is damaged, defective, or does not match the product listing
  • Change of mind or buyer’s remorse
  • Wrong item received

To be eligible, your item must meet all of the following conditions:

  • Return request raised within 14 days of the date you received your order
  • Item is unused and in its original condition
  • Item is in its original packaging with all tags and accessories intact

Please note: Returns will be rejected if the item shows signs of use, has been opened beyond inspection, or is returned without its original packaging, tags, or accessories.

3. Shipping Your Item Back

If your return is accepted, we will email you with instructions on how to send the item back. Please ship the item by the date specified in that email.

For international returns, we strongly recommend using a trackable shipping service to ensure the item reaches us safely. We cannot guarantee receipt of returned items sent without tracking. Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer and are non-refundable.

4. Receiving Your Refund

Once we receive and inspect your returned item, we will notify you by email of the approval or rejection of your refund.

  • If approved, your refund will be processed and a credit automatically applied to your original payment method within 2 business days of us receiving the return.
  • Funds are usually available within 3–5 business days after the refund is issued, depending on your bank or payment provider.
  • If the returned item is found to be used, damaged by the customer, or not in its original condition, the return will be rejected and no refund will be issued.

5. Late or Missing Refunds

If you have not received your refund yet, please follow these steps:

  1. Check your bank account again — it may already be posted.
  2. Contact your credit card company — there is often a processing delay before a refund appears.
  3. Contact your bank — processing times vary by institution.
  4. If you have done all of the above and still have not received your refund, please contact us at support@calcuttashop.com.

6. Exchanges

We replace items that are defective, damaged, or incorrectly sent. If you need to exchange an item, please contact us at support@calcuttashop.com and we will guide you through the process.

7. Sale Items

We accept returns and refunds on both regular priced and sale items, provided the return meets our eligibility criteria above.
